Evenings - lets reclaim this time

Do you struggle to switch off after a busy day with work, life admin, children and family life? Do you find your evenings are hectic and frazzled rather than calm and cosy? Creating a sense of evening is a self care practice that can change the view and feel of your entire week. Working days, schools days, commuting etc can be stressful but evenings can be reclaimed. You can take these hours no matter how hard your day is and do something just for you.

Arriving Home.

We love changing into some comfy soft clothes and washing our faces. This change feels like a really literal change of the day and washing away the tension. At the moment we're loving this facial cleanser.   Add abit of extra skincare into this routine if you have time as it feels like a really lovely way to begin your evening ahead.

Still struggling to switch off?

Can you take 10 minutes to go for walk. Leave your phone at home, in another room if possible. Look at the sky, the clouds, the trees. Notice what you can hear, see, smell, touch and feel. We promise you'll arrive back home in a different frame of mind. If you still have niggles jot them down in a journal and pop in your bag for tomorrow.

Mood

Now its time to start creating the home environment that sets the tone for your evening ahead. Close the curtains, put on your lamps and spritz The Quiet Mist or The Quiet Purest Blend for a mind clearing, focusing, grounding and centering mood shift. This beautiful, complex blend of Rose Geranium, Bergamot, Frankincense and Rosemary creates a delicate blend for the evening ahead.

Music and Dinner

Create a really calming and enjoyable atmosphere as you prepare dinner with our Evenings playlist.  What's for dinner? We love easy, warming vege curries that take 30 mins to prep and cook and make tomorrows lunch too. Cooking is a very mindful activity especially when working with herbs and spices and cutting and preparing fresh vegetables. Your mind will need to concentrate on this activity and will enjoy the sensory experience of the herbs cooking and will begin to disconnect from your day.

Turn down Service

Create a lovely luxury hotel style turn down service for your bedroom by taking back the sheets, scenting your pillows and run yourself a deep, warm bath. Take along your book or listen to a great podcast. Table Manners with Jessie Ware is always a relaxing hit and rest.

Have a wonderful evening x
