1. Are your products vegan-friendly?
Yes, all Chapter Organics products are 100% vegan-friendly.
2. Do you test on animals?
Absolutely not. We do not condone animal testing and none of our products are tested on animals.
3. Are your products natural?
Yes. We use pure, aromatherapy-grade essential oils, soy wax, natural cotton fibre wicks, and natural rattan reeds.
We never use synthetic fragrances.
4. Are your products handmade and sustainable?
All of our products are handcrafted in small batches in Yorkshire by our expert team. We prioritise high-quality, natural and organic ingredients, and ensure our supply chain is ethical and sustainable.
5. Are your products safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
All of our products contain essential oils. Every pregnancy is different, so we strongly recommend speaking to your healthcare provider before using any essential oil products.
Important notes:

Some essential oils may be suitable after the first trimester, but only with medical approval.

Avoid essential oils if your pregnancy is high-risk.

Essential oils should never be applied neat to the skin or ingested—especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

The Peace Chapter is a popular choice for those cleared to use essential oils during pregnancy.

The Wise Collection is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to its high essential oil content.

The Remedy Chapter contains eucalyptus and peppermint, which should be used with caution and in low doses during pregnancy.

Note:
Our moisturisers (The Peace, The Quiet, The Tonic) contain apricot kernel oil, a tree nut derivative. If you have a tree nut allergy, please avoid.
Our studio handles other nut oils and we cannot guarantee no cross-contamination.
10. How should I store the products?
Our amber apothecary jars and bottles protect the active botanicals. We recommend storing them out of direct sunlight and keeping candle lids on when not in use to prevent dust.
11. Do the products have a use-by date?
As our products are 100% natural, they may change in colour, consistency, or scent over time. For best results, use within 12 months of purchase.

Yes, sustainability is central to our values.

When we run offers on our website, each customer is entitled to one free product per order per person, unless stated otherwise.
17. Are your products pet-friendly?
Our products are 100% natural, and many of us use them around our pets without issue. However, as we haven’t tested on animals and pets can react differently to essential oils, we recommend speaking to your vet for personalised guidance.
18. Can I use discount codes on subscriptions or other offers?
Discount codes cannot be used on subscriptions or combined with other promotions or offers.
