We won! Small Business of the Year - Yorkshire

Last week we were honoured to win the Small Business Award at the Yorkshire Women in Business Awards.

Its been a real moment to reflect after an incredibly busy 12 months.

Running a small business is a strange and wonderful mix of creativity, courage, spreadsheets, late nights, big ideas and small daily steps.

Most days my head is down and I'm simply focused on doing the work, making things better, supporting my team, serving our customers, designing new products and solving whatever challenge arrives that day.

Then there are the exciting moments when we're big picture planning as we have real  ambitions for Chapter.

So moments like this feel incredibly special because they invite you to sit still for a moment and take stock. Something as Founder, I'm sure I'm not alone in saying this, we're not very good at.

For us at Chapter Organics, this award is really about the journey we’ve been on.

From the early days of blending Essential Oils at my kitchen table, to building our now 3rd Studio and growing a team of thoughtful, hard working, passionate and creative people who care deeply about what we make.

Every candle poured, every blend created, every email or call that's done in our Studio in Boston Spa.

This Award feels like recognition of all those small, consistent steps.

In an age where it seems like Businesses can boom over night and that one viral video on Tik Tok can propel your Business forward, I'd love to celebrate the ones that are quietly building something strong, something consistent and meaningful.

What made the evening particularly meaningful was the room itself.

The awards bring together an inspiring community of women across Yorkshire who are building businesses, creating jobs, supporting their communities and doing remarkable things in every sector imaginable.

There was such warmth and generosity in the room. So many brilliant conversations, shared experiences and genuine celebration of one another’s success. It felt like a real reminder that business isn't always  cut throat or competitive and that we can support each other.

Small businesses are never built alone.

They are built with the support of customers who choose to buy from you and tell all their friends, Hotels, Restaurants and Holiday Homes that know their guests will unwind with your products, stockists who select you for their shelves and collaborators who share your values and a team who show up every day with energy and care.

To our wonderful Chapter community, Thank you for supporting small, independent businesses. Thank you for sharing our story.
